ADVANCED CAREER TRAINING

In an effort for continuous improvement, we have revised several medical billing and coding courses to best prepare students for a career as a certified medical coder.
As a result, the following courses have been updated effective immediately:
Lesson 13 is now optional in these four courses, and does not contribute to the overall course grade. The lesson quiz is also optional and the lesson assignment has been removed. The in-course verbiage was updated to recommend Lesson 13 to those planning to take a coding certification exam.
In addition, the ICD-10-PCS textbook aligned with Lesson 13 will no longer ship. While students enrolled in these courses prior to the effective date will receive a book, those enrolled after will not receive a book.
Similarly, the following courses have also been updated effective immediately:
In these two courses, Lesson 13 is now optional but strongly recommend to those planning to take the CCA exam. Like the CPC and CBCS courses, Lesson 13 will no longer contribute to the overall course grade. The lesson quiz is also optional and the lesson assignment has been removed.
However, the CCA medical billing and coding courses will continue to use the ICD-10-PCS textbook.
The course hours for the following title will change on April 11, 2019:
The hours will increase to reflect 60 hours allotted for the Medical Terminology portion of the bundle. These hours were not accounted for when the course was first released to the catalog.
