Are you looking to offer your students a competitive edge? ed2go is excited to announce that we now offer 18 courses recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE).
ACE Learning Evaluations helps adults gain academic credit for courses and examinations taken outside traditional degree programs. For more than 30 years, colleges and universities have trusted ACE to provide reliable course equivalency information to facilitate their decisions to award academic credit.
Achieving ACE credit recommendations is a significant accomplishment that validates the quality and relevance of our courses. This achievement aligns perfectly with our mission to empower students through accessible, high-quality education. By offering ACE-credit recommended courses, we are providing students with the tools they need to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors. After a rigorous review process, we have achieved credit recommendations for 18 of our top allied health, education, IT/cybersecurity, trades, and business/legal courses.
“At the American Council on Education, we believe that education is the cornerstone of empowerment. ed2go’s commitment to excellence ensures that every student receives the tools they need to succeed in today’s competitive landscape.”

Why ACE Credit Recommendations Matter
The integration of ACE credit recommendations into our offerings marks a significant milestone for ed2go. ACE recommendations are widely recognized and respected, providing authoritative validation of the quality and rigor of our courses.
Across our channels, this means added assurance that our courses meet rigorous standards and can be confidently incorporated into for-credit pathways. For your students, it translates to greater acceptance of their earned credentials across a broader spectrum of institutions, facilitating smoother transitions and more flexible learning options.
“ACE credit recommendations equip learners who have completed innovative training through ed2go with the credentials they need to thrive in today’s workforce. This underscores ACE’s dedication to advancing social and economic mobility for underserved communities.”

Understanding Credit Articulation and Recommendation
ed2go offers both credit articulation and ACE credit recommendations to provide our Partners and students with the most flexible and valuable options.
Credit Articulation
Credit articulation is a more specific agreement between ed2go and a particular Higher Education for Development (HED) institution. This agreement outlines the exact number of credits, the level of those credits, and sometimes even a direct course alignment.
Once this agreement is in place, credit granting is assured. However, the credit evaluation process can vary across schools.
ACE Credit Recommendation
ACE credit recommendations provide a broad reach, offering guidance to any HED institution. While they do not guarantee credit acceptance, they do provide a strong recommendation. These recommendations specify the number of credits, level, and course title alignment.
By receiving ACE credit recommendations, ed2go’s courses gain recognized external validity, ensuring they are respected by colleges, universities, and employers.
Lower Division and Vocational Recommendations
ed2go offers both lower division and vocational credit recommendations.
- Lower division recommendations align with 100 and 200-level coursework, typically found in Associate degree programs. These courses are designed to provide students with a solid foundation in their chosen field.
- Vocational recommendations, on the other hand, align more closely with non-degree certification programs focused on core skills related to specialized careers. These courses are tailored to prepare students for specific trades or industries.
By offering both lower division and vocational credit recommendations, ed2go provides students with a wider range of options to meet their educational and career goals.
A Testament to Quality
ACE evaluated ed2go courses based on the key categories of Content, Course Design, Course Delivery, and Assessment. We received 75 commendations from 20 ACE-hired faculty from 2-and-4-year colleges and universities.
Next Steps
ed2go’s ACE credit recommendation results are now published in the ACE National Guide along with an official report with feedback from the evaluator. ed2go is excited to continue our relationship with ACE to collaborate to serve the diverse needs of today’s students.
