Understanding Bundled Programs: A Comprehensive Overview for ed2go Partners

Not quite sure what a bundled course is? You’re not alone—and we’re here to clear it up. In this article, we walk through how ed2go bundled programs are built to guide students through a smooth, step-by-step learning journey. It’s all about making things easier to follow, more flexible, and ultimately more successful—for both students and ed2go Partners.

What are Bundled Programs?

Bundled programs, also known as our “career series,” are thoughtfully structured to guide students through a series of interconnected courses. Each bundle is designed with a specific sequence in mind, allowing students to build upon their knowledge as they progress. These course packages include multiple courses, allowing students to pay for one and receive content for several.

Note: Students must fully complete their courses in the order in which they are intended within the program.

Getting Started with a Bundled Program

When a student enrolls in a bundled program, the first course automatically becomes active and is open for learning. Importantly, this initial course will remain available for its typical duration of six months unless otherwise adjusted for third party-funded students, who may have differing timeframes.

One of the unique features of bundled programs is that students are not required to use the full six-month window to complete just the first course. In fact, depending on the program’s structure, we strongly encourage students to finish the first course sooner. This is because the six-month timeframe often applies to the entire bundle—not just a single course. While some other programs allow 12–18 months to complete all courses, the sequence and pacing expectations are similar.

To stay on track, students should manage their time carefully and follow the recommended pacing to ensure they complete all courses in the bundle by the deadline.

Communication is Key

One critical aspect of managing bundled programs is keeping students informed about their course timelines. During the welcome call, ed2go Student Advisors discuss access dates and pacing, especially since students will only see the end date for their current course rather than the overall program end date. For instance, a student enrolled in a 12-month program with three courses may see an end date of just six months, leading to potential confusion.

Sequential Course Order and Certificates of Completion

As noted earlier, students must complete courses in the designated order within their bundle. Upon finishing the entire program, students will receive one Certificate of Completion for the complete bundle rather than individual certificates for each course. This is an important point to clarify to students, as it reflects the cohesive learning experience they have undergone.

Final Thoughts

Understanding the structure and expectations of bundled programs is fundamental for supporting our students’ academic journeys. By maintaining clear communication and offering guidance, we can help students navigate their educational paths successfully.
