Please review the following details about a recent change to select CAPM® certification courses and how these changes may affect your students and institution in the interim.
What courses are impacted by this update?
- GES248 – Project Management Essentials with CAPM® Prep
- WDK251 – The Complete Project Manager with CAPM and PMP Prep with Workforce Development Kit
- GES251 – The Complete Project Manager with CAPM® and PMP® Prep
- GES2059 – The Complete Project Manager with Microsoft Project 2019
What has changed with my students’ course?
The Project Management Essentials with CAPM® Prep program does not fully align with the most recent update of the certifying exam. The certifying body, Project Management Institute (PMI), updated the certifying exam on July 25, 2023.
The ed2go product team is working on adding the two required lessons and the updated textbooks in the classroom so that existing students can review the updated information and properly prepare for their exams. The update within the classroom is scheduled to occur within 1-2 months.
What is ed2go doing to support students?
While the course is being updated, an enrollment freeze has been placed on the courses noted above.
To ensure success for students actively enrolled in one of the courses, we are providing students with the following two options. For enrollments collected by ed2go, an email is being sent to active students notifying them of their options and asking them to respond with their decision two weeks from the date the communication is sent out.
Option 1: We will suspend the student’s account until the course revision has taken place. During this time, they will not have access to their classroom. Once the revision has taken place, their course will be unsuspended and course end date extended, and the student will be notified.
Option 2: A full refund will be provided to the impacted student(s) as an exception to the Student Enrollment Agreement.
What action is required by my institution?
Be advised of the existing enrollment freeze while updates are being made to the course content.
Partners who have collected payment for actively enrolled students will receive a separate communication providing guidance on the options for those students and asking for the approach you wish to take.
For ed2go collected enrollments, there is no action required.
If you have any other questions, please contact your Account Manager for additional support.
