Updated Career Training Programs

ed2go is pleased to announce an update to two existing Career Training Programs. These programs are ideal for students who have an interest in mobile and desktop web development.

Title: Mobile Web Developer

This program now has an expanded outline to include new topics that reflect some of the most recent technologies in the industry. Updates in the jQuery Mobile component of the program support the most recent stable version of jQuery Mobile, version 1.4.5. These updates include new client code, mark-up reflecting different class and tag structures, new Javascript code in event handling, and revised reviews of tools such as the drag and drop theme builder. In the Developing Mobile Websites component, there is a stronger focus on Bootstrap, a popular front-end responsive framework, while Foundation (another responsive framework) will no longer be supported in the lessons. To further support recent technologies, there is now a lesson on mobile menus to assist students in adapting design and coding menus to smaller screens. Additionally, the content in this program was improved to reflect newly reformed browser and device support. Screenshots depict newer iPhones, custom-icon code draws from the most-recent recommendations from Apple and Android devices, and content notes on support for JavaScript and CSS coding reflect the most current mobile devices and browsers as of spring 2015. The hours and the cost of the Career Training Program will not be affected by these changes.
