What Partners Need To Do

New Programs: Partners only need to make catalog updates for new Career Training Programs in your Online Administration Center (OAC) if:

  • Your site is set up for ed2go to automatically add new courses/programs to your catalog, AND you do not want to offer the new program, or need to change your retail pricing.
  • Your site is NOT set up for ed2go to automatically add new courses/programs to your catalog, AND you want to add new courses/programs to your catalog.

For assistance with updating your catalog, read this article

Otherwise, no further action is needed on your end in the OAC.

Why should you market this program?

You should market this program because fitness training is an area where students can earn decent wage without obtaining a college degree. However, employers do look for certifications. Obtaining various certifications in fitness and nutrition is a great way for students interested in a career in fitness or sports to advance their careers.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median salary is $36,160.

Why are we adding this program to the catalog?

Certified Personal Trainer is a popular course within the ed2go catalog and we wanted to expand our offerings to serve this audience by including additional certifications, specialties, and certificates for students to build their resume and even earn more money.

Why would a student take this program?

A student interested in training athletes would take this course. It is a deeper dive into the area of sports nutrition so it is especially tailored for athletes and sports as opposed to a more generic nutrition course. In addition, it allows them to earn a certificate from the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) which is one of the well-known brands and authorities in the world of fitness and athletic training.

Title: NCSF Strength Coach

The NCSF Certified Strength Coach (CSC) program will prepare students to sit for the NCSF-CSC Exam and to become employed as a Strength Coach.
