Why should you market this program?
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the transportation and material moving occupations group is projected to grow 5 percent from 2014 to 2024, adding 466,800 new jobs. An increased demand for shipping raw materials and finished products over highways, rail lines, and waterways should contribute to employment growth.
Why are we adding this program to the catalog?
We are adding this program because we do not have a lot of programs related to the transportation industry. Freight Broker is one of the most popular programs in the ed2go catalog and so we want to introduce more programs specifically related to the transportation industry.
Why would a student take this program?
This career only requires a high school diploma and passing an exam to become a licensed customs broker which according to Payscale.com has a median salary of $51,915. Students looking to work in the logistics, freight forwarding, importing, supply chain fields in the United States should consider enrolling in this program.
