The following update is for partners that offer the Mediator courses in their catalog.
In the Alternative Dispute Resolution field, there were regulatory changes to how mediator courses are titled. To remain compliant with these regulatory changes, we are removing the term “certified” from the course title of our Mediator courses. There are no changes to course content.
The following courses will have updated course titles beginning May 16, 2018:
Current Course Title | New Course Title | Course Code |
Certified Family Mediator | Certificate in Family Mediation | GES430 |
Certified Healthcare and Eldercare Practitioner | Certificate in Healthcare and Eldercare | GES431 |
Certified Mediator and Arbitrator | Certificate in Mediation and Arbitration | GES425 |
Certified Mediator and Conflict Resolution Specialist | Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution | GES426 |
Certified Mediator and Restorative Justice Practitioner | Certificate in Mediation and Restorative Justice | GES432 |
What Do Partners Need To Do:
- Partners do not need to take any action as the change to the course titles will become effective on May 16, 2018.
