Project Management Fundamentals
There are more projects occurring today than at any time in history. Organizations initiate projects to create new computer applications, erect bridges and buildings, improve processes, develop new products, and reorganize company operations. Unfortunately, most organizations do not manage projects well, creating an unprecedented demand for project management practitioners. If you’re organized, perceptive, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator, you just might have what it takes to succeed in the fast-growing field of project management. If you’re new to project management, this course will provide you with the essential information you’ll need to prepare for and complete your first project. If you’re an experienced project manager, this course will make you more valuable to your employer by increasing your skills and competencies. This course will also help you prepare for the internationally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) exams offered by the Project Management Institute, PMI®.

Project Management Fundamentals II
Are you a part-time or accidental project manager? If you’ve been assigned projects and need a quick jumpstart to get going, then this is the course for you. You’ll learn the 10 essential skills you need to survive and thrive, including understanding the business need and the related project outcomes, setting project boundaries, getting to know your project stakeholders and their needs, and creating a schedule. You’ll also see how to manage project execution from reporting progress to handling problems to project closure. Throughout the course, you’ll find examples that demonstrate how each of these essential skills applies in the real world.

Revised Online Classes

Two of our popular courses have been updated to reflect the most recent developments in these areas. These courses include:

  • Intermediate CompTIA A Certification Prep – Course was updated to prepare students for the latest exams (220-901 and 220-902 exams)
  • Certificate in Healing Environments for Body, Mind, and Spirit – Lesson 8 was updated.

The program descriptions in the online catalog will be adjusted, as necessary, to reflect these changes.

Locate Course in Pre-enrollment

Pre-enrollment is a term ed2go uses to signify a new course that is accepting enrollments, but the first session it’s being offered is a future session. For example, these new online classes can begin accepting enrollments on today (October 25, 2016), but only for the December 2016 session and beyond.

For this reason, courses in pre-enrollment will only show in your catalog in a session it’s being offered. In our example from above, to locate the course to remove or add to your catalog, or to adjust pricing, you’d have to toggle to the December 2016 session and search for the course title.

To locate a course in pre-enrollment:

  1. Log into the Online Administration Center
  2. Toggle to the appropriate roster (ILC/CTP/PRO)
  3. Click Catalog
  4. Toggle to the appropriate month of the course catalog
  5. Search for the course title
  6. Make any necessary course adjustments
