Sign up for new course auto add!

Are you opted in to new course auto add? If not, there are a number of reasons why you should consider taking advantage of this helpful feature. Within our partner network, a vast majority of our partners have opted in to take advantage of this time-saving, community-serving feature.

Keep a Robust Online Catalog
The Babson Survey Research Group found that enrollments in online education increased for “the fourteenth straight year” with projected growth throughout the decade. Make sure you have all of the industries and courses your community learners seek.

New ed2go Courses are In-Demand
We design courses that align with both local and national job market demand. In fact, we put our courses through a rigorous QA process to ensure skills-centric content and outcomes are at the forefront of the design. From inception to production, we take a data-driven approach that includes job market demand, growth outlook, preferred skills, and long-term career trajectory.

Don’t lose enrollments
With new course auto add, students have the ability to begin the enrollment process the moment we release new courses to the catalog. In turn, they can immediately tap into their career training or personal development.

Online Modality Rules
As you probably already know, offering the online modality is an ideal way to meet the needs of multiple learning demographics. In fact, more than 50% of the student respondents to the Best Colleges survey chose online learning over on-campus study due to prior commitments to work and family. We’ve found that often, when a learner cannot find the online course at the institution of their choice, instead of taking the on-campus equivalent, they will enroll in that online course title through an alternate source. So, if students are going to take an online course regardless, wouldn’t you rather be the one getting the enrollment?

You maintain control and flexibility
This feature will only start adding new courses going forward, it will not retroactively add any courses to your catalog.  In addition, your course management options will not change, you’ll continue to have the ability to remove any course and adjust pricing as you see fit. Note: Courses will be added at SRP, so if you offer alternate pricing, you’ll need to adjust after a course launch. Opting-in to ed2go’s new course auto-add feature is a streamlined way to offer a robust catalog, meet learners where they are, satisfy local job training demand, compliment both your campus-based and your own online courses, and get more enrollments.Click Here to Get Started!

Product Launch: New Self-Paced Tutorial Courses

Students have busy lives, so they need flexible learning options that fit their schedule. In August 2018, we released our Self-Paced Tutorials (SPT) courses to give students more control of their learning environment. SPT courses let students work through the course material on their own time, at their own pace.

We added 27 more SPT titles to the catalog, all of which correspond to existing instructor-led Fundamentals courses.

When a student wants to enroll in the Fundamentals titles listed below, they can now choose between two learning modalities — self-paced or instructor-led:

Course Cancellations and Revisions

Our catalog is constantly changing, but that’s a good thing! Please read below for information on recent course cancellations and revisions:

Advanced Career Training Courses

The following course has been cancelled and removed from the catalog:

  • Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (Voucher Included) (GES2011)

Per Microsoft, “exam 533 will be replaced with two new exams that cover the Azure Administrator job role more extensively than this exam does. To support these changes, we are retiring exam 533 on December 31, 2018.” To align with this update, we will replace GES2011 in 2019 with two separate courses that support the two new exams.

The following course has been updated, with changes effective immediately:

  • SSCP Systems Security Certified Practitioner (Voucher Included) (GES333)

In an effort for continuous improvement, we have updated the structure of GES333 to reflect recent updates to SSCP exam. While the outline of the course (modules and lessons) will shift to accommodate the new exam, content itself will not change. Students currently enrolled in the course will still be able to sit for the SSCP exam.

What Partners Need to Do:

You do not need to take any action as these updates will be reflected in the catalog automatically.

For more information, please contact your account manager.

What Enrolled Students Need to Do:

Students currently enrolled in these courses will able to finish their course with no change to the curriculum.

Course Discontinuations and Revisions

Our catalog is constantly changing, but that’s a good thing! Please read below about the following soon to-be-discontinued and revised courses to best serve your students:

Fundamentals Courses

The following courses have been discontinued and will be removed from the catalog on November 14, 2018:

  • Introduction to Dreamweaver CS6 (id6)
  • Intermediate Dreamweaver CS6 (nd6)
  • Introduction to Windows 8 (w8i)

These courses were cancelled due to low enrollments and outdated content. While there are no exact alternatives for our Dreamweaver CS6 titles, we encourage you to direct students to Introductions to Windows 10 (w0i) in lieu of our Windows 8 title (w8i).

The following course is subject to slight revision on November 16, 2018:

  • Introduction to Lightroom CC (lrc)

The title of this course – Introduction Lightroom CC – will be changed to Introduction to Lightroom Classic CC. Adobe recently updated the name of the Lightroom software, so we are changing the course title to accurately reflect this. The course content will not be affected, nor will student enrollments.

What Partners Need to Do:

You do not need to take any action as the discontinued courses will be removed from your catalog automatically on the above-mentioned date. If you are not already offering the suggested alternative courses, they are currently available in the course catalog.

New Assessment Model for Fundamentals Courses

In an effort to align with ‘objective-based’ assessment standards in the learning space, we have revised the assessment model for select Fundamentals titles (instructor-led and self-paced courses).

What is changing?

The length of the final exam will now vary in concurrence with the course content and objectives.

Why is the assessment model changing?

The previous assessment model was static. This meant that the final exam for most Fundamentals titles had the same amount of questions regardless of the course content. Moving forward, forthcoming titles with more objectives will have an equally comprehensive assessment.

How will this affect future releases?

The revised assessment model will be standard for select Fundamentals titles moving forward. This model will also be applied to major course revisions. Our recently revised CompTIA Network+ course was the first course to utilize the new assessment standards.
